Originating in Japan, Reiki is a gentle energy healing method which, through a hands-on/ hands-off technique, contributes to restoring harmony to your mind, body, and spirit. By balancing the body’s energy centres, Reiki encourages relaxation and healing by removing barriers to the flow of energy in the body, facilitating balance and support on all levels. The Reiki practitioner channels the universal life-force energy and transfers it to you through the palms of his/her hands.
Reiki works for your highest good. Even though the Reiki practitioner is able to direct the energy to where it is most needed, Reiki will go where it needs to go regardless of where hands are placed. Your body will take exactly the quantity of energy it needs. By bringing you to a state of relaxation, Reiki enables your body to access and activate its own inherent, self-healing mechanisms and find its way back to equilibrium.
Some of the many things that Reiki can help with include removing energy blockages; relieving pain, stress and anxiety; alleviating insomnia; reducing fatigue; supporting recovery after injuries or surgery; alleviating headaches and migraines; decreasing blood pressure; supporting the immune system; assisting the body in cleaning itself from toxins; and so much more.
It is important to mention that Reiki does not replace conventional medical treatment but is used as complementary therapy. It complements and enhances the health care received in hospital and from other health care providers supporting balance and well-being of your mind, body and spirit.
Everyone’s experience of Reiki is unique but many will tell you it is soothing, relaxing and comforting. It reconnects you with yourself and with the universal life force that is in everything.
I offer balancing and harmonizing energy healing sessions in which I integrate, depending on your needs, vibrational sound therapy (tibetan bowls, voice, music, etc) and crystal healing.
